In 2020, Marie-Gon launched a pilot version of her coaching program. I didn’t have to think twice about joining. I had previously taken a color course with her, and I really appreciated her approach to sharing knowledge. Given the steps I wanted to take, her coaching was exactly what I needed. I was looking to deepen my expertise, specifically regarding professional knowledge, as I was already well-versed in entrepreneurship.
In the past, my husband and I ran a mortgage and insurance agency. We sold the portfolio in 2016. I had always wanted to do something involving design, but I belong to a generation that was told: ‘You can’t make a living from that, so go and learn a proper trade.’
Greater self-confidence
I certainly learned a lot about interior design at the NIA Academy. But that’s only part of the story; you have to gain real-world experience, on every front. I knew I had the potential to excel in the field, but the fear of making mistakes held me back. What I needed was confirmation that I was on the right track, or perhaps that one golden tip for finding the perfect color nuance. Without people to bounce ideas off of, this profession can sometimes feel a bit lonely.
Marie-Gon provided excellent guidance and knew exactly how to put me at ease. If things turn out differently than expected, which is always a risk when it comes to color, she simply ensures that a solution is provided. Usually, a minor adjustment to a color code is all it takes to get things back on track.

I could always rely on Marie-Gon. ‘Hey Marie-Gon, I have this idea, what’s your take on it?’ She always manages to add a unique twist. She is a master at holding up a mirror to you, in a truly loving way. That has given me so many new insights and has provided a real boost to my self-confidence.

Marie-Gon knows how to spark something in you. She gives you a nudge, in such a way that it feels like you’re doing it all yourself. I find that a wonderful quality. She doesn’t impose her own mark on who you are or how you do things; instead, she helps you to see it for yourself.
Investing in myself
Thanks in part to Marie-Gon, I have made significant strides in shaping my business. By nature, I tend to dream very big, but taking action sometimes felt daunting. Now, I have more courage and feel less inhibited. I am taking increasingly bold steps and continuing to develop myself. I truly enjoy my profession!

Marie-Gon has exceeded all my expectations, in fact, I have already recommended her to many of my colleagues. Marie-Gon brings a refreshing perspective and is a true powerhouse of knowledge. Yet, she remains incredibly modest, which makes you feel completely at ease with her.
I also find the exchange of ideas with colleagues in the Marie-Gons Inside community to be something very powerful. It strengthens us in our profession; after all, you can only get better by working together, right?
