I have worked with Marie-Gon when we both worked at C&A, long ago. Since 4 years we are reconnected through Women on Wings. We share a passion for India and we jointly started the Something Good initiative. I remember us sitting at her veranda in Pune to connect ideas we both had to impact even more artisans in rural India. Marie-Gon took the lead, making a pilot collection with our partners in India. I love it that she loves to sit next to the artisans in rural India to work directly with them on getting the best out of her designs for our partners. She showed patience, persistence and perseverance to get the samples on time in The Netherlands. She’s extremely hands-on and I believe that Marie-Gon’s passion for creation, for her work and for India are a very successful recipe.
